Prologue: It's Carol Anne and Samantha's joint seventh-birthday party and subsequent slumber/pajama-party with all of their friends.
Chapter 1: It's the summer-time and though the girls and their mommies hang out together as usual, it's not always with everyone able to get together due to other obligations or being on vacation.
Chapter 2: It's August and particularly by the last two weekends of the month,the mommies are deep in getting the kids ready to go back to school in September.
Chapter 3: It's the Labor Day weekend and that means summer vacation is on its last legs/on its way out.
Chapter 4: It's the first day back to school for the kids and we go through the school-day and Carol Anne especially tells me how the first day of Second Grade went for her and her friends.
Chapter 5: It's almost October and its time to get ready for Halloween and Charlotte's eighth birthday.
Chapter 6: It's Charlotte's eighth birthday and she has a party for it but might also have a subsequent slumber-party for it as well.
